Let's see.... Where should I start this entry?..... Okay, how about the pass quarter is all welded in. No Bondo yet, but all welded in. The seam sealer is in the mew metal wheel well, and the new metal for the pocket. I did find a few little places that need to be replaced. Up in the corder, about a inch by an inch. That is for next time, and so is the Bondo. But, we are making great progress on this side. I am hoping to have the quarter finsihed by the middle of the week.

Hopefully, me and Vic will be able to at least start removing the rear exle. That will allow me to get into places where I can't go now under the car for the new undercoat. I need to remove every pealing old undercoat before the new undercoat and painting the undercoat goes on. In between that, me and Vic can replace the break lines on the axle, and clean it up for painting, AND, re work the leaf springs... Whew!. A lot to say, and a lot to do in this part.
So, now, I have pictures, and the video will be available in a day or so. It's uploading.... I upload un compressed AVI's so picture and audio quality is high. They take a while to up load.... here's some pictures.... Oh, and remember to click the like button if you like this entry. Chow!.

Applying the "brush on" seam sealer. The new metal seams are sealed, along with the bottom of the new metal around the bottom rims. Later, undercoat and also the undercoat will be painted. No water should enter the pocket or wheel well area.

The pocket area, and under the pockets are done. Sanding will be done later with the application of the Bondo plastic.

Some news: I started a new job today. Full time, and with higher pay.. The bad news, as the new job towards the car is: I won't have as much time to work on her. Only my days off, and after work if light and I'm not too tired allows. So, as the world turns, so do we... it's not going to be that bad, but the work will progress slower. How slow?. Time will tell. The good news is, the panel is almost done... The bad news is: There is a problem. Seems there is a area that got too hot, and it's buckled slightly. However, there is a fix. Just take more time to complete, It's still in progress. I do have off for Saturdays and Sundays it seems, but, I should get at least 2 days off a week. After work?. Depends on how tired I am and the weather... We shall see..
Yesterday, I fixed my disc sander again. This time it worked better. Hopefully, it'll last another 4 years.. LOL... After prepping for plastic, we apply the Bondo and shape for primer. I noticed a problem with this quarter. The end "rounded" on the panel, is not as rounded to the contour of the rest of the original "rounded" area.... I have tryed to make it round more, but will need more work. It needs more work on the panel and the dogleg... So, here's what I have for now. Next time, everyone. Chow!. Video will follow shortly.

We prep for the Bondo application. Disc sanding makes a better cut for the Bondo to hold, removed the paint, and all-in-all preps the surface.

Comment:
Smooth the edges. It would have been better if I applied the Bondo not across, but to contour the metal.. Eh, sometimes, errors happen. I'm only human too..

Bigger Pic?. Click it.

Comment:
Apply the first Bondo all over the bare metal. Start to sand, shape, and it will be good....

Comment:
Can primer is great for seeing where more-or less needs to be. Drys fast. Air spray primer will be applied too when the whole car is ready for painting.

Comment:
This part of the quarter got too much heat. Buckled slightly. Fixable, just more time is needed.
