Time to get the 62 under cover instead of covered outside. Getting to the point where covering her is going to damage the primer and edging. It's time to change the work area around, and place her under cover. I will need to drive her out to work on here, and drive her in at the end of the day.

So, we end another chapter in the 62's restoration. The foillowing took all day. Diden't do anything to the car, but move her into the booth. Moving the sun cover, anchoring the frame, and cleaning up. More parking is now at my house, and after all these years it is welcome. We now wait for another day off.... Here's what was done on last day off...

Sets in nicely. The stuff around the permitter of the booth will come out once the painting has started. But, there is still a lot more to do.

Hello everyone. The 62 is now in the booth for safer keeping while work is still going on. better to bring her out each time than to cover. The cover will scratch into the primer and edging. The car must be kept from the elements while the work continues.

The rains we had a few days ago were down pours and the 62 was in the booth. Glad she was, as the back doors and now the rockers will be stripped of paint. Getting ready for the primer and the edging.

For these last two work days are in this video. Here's what was done...

I was working on the car on and off for the last few days. This video is about 3 days worth of car work. Removing paint and old primer right down to the metal. The rear doors, jambs, both rocker panels. Sanding the areas and the dash. There is more to sand before we primer these areas. I want to prep the inside posts, between the doors.

It's saturday night, and the weather dosen't look good for tomorrow, my day off. That means, we will just have to wait and see what the weather brings. I am getting edgey about the metal being exposed for so long. I have been going over the metal every few days, but, one thing is for sure. The car in the booth, is a very good idea, and well worth the effort to bring her out every time and drive her back in.

This video, is a acculimation of car work for just about 3 days worth. Hopefully, tomorrow, is a good day.

Cleaning the door jambs before sanding. Don't want to sand the dirt in. So, cleaning first is a must.
